IHiS is a healthcare-IT leader, transforming patient care through excellence in technology. IHiS architects and oversees the performance of the clinical, business and healthcare analytics systems of the healthcare institutions. It played a key role in five Singapore hospitals becoming among the first public institutions in the Asia Pacific region to achieve HIMSS EMRAM Stage 6, an international benchmark for advanced technology used in patient care. IHiS is at the forefront of innovation, driving new standards in quality care. 


Changi General Hospital (CGH)

Changi General Hospital (CGH) is a major hospital with over 800 beds in the east recognised for its excellence and compassion in service and patient care. CGH offers a comprehensive range of medical specialties and services, helmed by a highly experienced and skilled team of healthcare professionals who consistently deliver excellent health outcomes and care for patients.


CGH has established itself as a centre of medical excellence with services such as the Integrated Sleep Service, Breast Centre @ Changi, Hepatobiliary Service, Vascular Surgery, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology and the Changi Sports Medicine Centre. CGH believes in the power of compassion in caring for patients, showing concern and empathy for them throughout their health journey.


To improve care for patients, CGH has adopted a proactive integrated care approach.  Partnering healthcare providers in the east through the Eastern Health Alliance and innovating by adopting new medical technologies and systems, CGH aims to deliver better, seamless and integrated medical services. CGH has been JCI (Joint Commission International) accredited since 2005.


Project: CGH Enterprise Management Dashboard

The Enterprise Management Dashboard System at CGH’s A&E, helps staff better manage the high patient volumes and bed crunch, and cope during a mass casualty.


The dashboards give staff quick real-time overviews of the ground situation, enabling them to respond faster and treat more patients efficiently. It also improves coordination across departments to facilitate team-based care, and the access to real-time data allows staff to make informed decisions immediately. 


The system has reduced A&E patient waiting times for urgent cases by 40% to 23 minutes, from 40 minutes. Patients get more timely treatment, improving care and outcomes.


Waiting times are shown at A&E public areas, so patients/relatives can use their time productively. The dashboards have helped increase patients’ satisfaction with the hospital’s services by over 10%.


Data captured and analysed by EMD system enables application of Predictive Analytics, to further improve workflows and staff productivity, for more efficient patient care. 


Fosta Pte Ltd

FOSTA (2004) specialises in soil investigation, geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring, pile tests, fibre optic sensors and fibre wrap services. It has conducted a large number of projects and term contracts for private sector and government such as marine deep-water soil investigation for JTC and jetty, hydrofracture, pressuremeter, packer, deep borehole imaging and temperature tests, geophysicals and inclined drilling, slope investigation for HDB and PUB, special lab tests for soils and rocks (in UK), real-time noise and vibration monitoring, inclinometers, recharge wells, automated tunnel monitoring, island underground water level monitoring, and LTA T2906 ($12M) MRT station and TBM monitoring works, etc.


Project: Instrumentation and monitering services, fibre optic sensors

FOSTA’s main business is to measure and monitor safety of construction sites such as vibration and noise monitoring. The way we do is to leave the sensors in the sites to record the ground vibration data. Regularly, we drive to these sites and download the data. We need to drive back to our office, download the data and generate the reports. When we email to our customers, the reports are already a few days or a week old. And they may have already committed a violation without knowing it.


So, we devise a solution that can send the data back to our office - in real-time: no driving to and back from the sites,  We can alert the customers instantly if their site is getting too much vibration and prevent them from getting work stopped by authority. The manpower reduction is 150%.
