Samantha Fok is Director of ICT Industry Development at IMDA responsible for facilitating the development and growth of the infocomm sector and its ecosystem.
Prior to this, Samantha was the Director of Small & Medium Enterprises Division at then IDA with the objective to drive infocomm adoption amongst Small & Medium Enterprises (SME) in Singapore. One of her key accomplishments was launching the iSPRINT scheme with $85m funding support to incentivize SMEs to adopt infocomm for their businesses.
Samantha also held the position of Director of International Operations at then IDA overseeing IDA’s overseas offices in India (Bangalore), China (Shanghai) and US (San Francisco) to facilitate partnerships and potential business opportunities for Singapore Infocomm companies. Her achievements include developing the Middle East market and establishing collaborations between Kuwait and Qatar on e-Government with Singapore.
Samantha was with the New Zealand Trade & Enterprise in Auckland from 2007 to 2009 to promote the development and export of innovative IT solutions for the Healthcare sector.
Before joining IDA (then NCB) in 1998, Samantha held management positions in a local software company and was also the Assistant General Manager for the events division in Pico Art Int’l Pte Ltd.
Samantha graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. She also attended the Asian International Executive Programme at INSEAD.
